Mobility conditions

Conditions you need to meet

1. Length of stay

Your study period abroad can last for 2-12 months. The maximum of 12 months is your total time abroad within one cycle of study (Bachelor, Master, Doctoral). Non-European stays are not included in this total.

Working students and professional athletes and other students having a certain obstacle can go on short-term combined mobility. The short-term combined mobility consists of a Physical Mobility of 5-30 days followed by a Virtual Mobility. You will only receive a grant for the physical part.

The application for short-term mobility is approved by the vice-deans for studies of the particular CTU faculty.

2. 20 credits

Courses enrolled at the host university must be successfully completed, unless you have a good reason for not complying with this condition. Do not forget that one of the condition is to have min. 20 credits for Czech equivalent courses. In the same way, foreign university can set a minimum as well as a maximum credit limit.
In the case of work on a bachelor’s thesis, master’s thesis or dissertation, the requirement to complete 20 credits per semester is not mandatory. However, credits for the bachelor’s or master’s thesis need to be recognized.

3. Being
a student

You must be a CTU student at the time of departure for your studies abroad.

More information

Your study period abroad, either as a student or as a trainee, can last up to a maximum of 12 months within one cycle of study (Bachelor, Master, Doctoral). You may therefore combine it, e.g. 6 months of studying abroad and 6 months as a trainee, or e.g. full 12 months of traineeship. However, the limit of 12 months per one cycle of study is always applied.
The studies abroad are based exclusively on the valid inter-institutional agreements between the sending and receiving institution owning ECHE certificate.
